A pin-up is a woman whose photographic or artistic representation is hung in an attractive or "sexy" pose, hence the English expression "pin-up girl" which could be translated as "girl pinned to the wall". Since their appearance in the early 20th century, pin-ups have remained a symbol of charm and eroticism regularly brought up to date. The general public, both male and female, welcomes this new "art" which is the representation of the liberated woman, both sophisticated and attractive.

For some time now, there has been a renewed interest in these muses of the 50s with the arrival of models celebrating this era. Fashion, magazines, artists are bringing the Pin-Up style back into fashion.
