She wears a white blouse with rolled-up sleeves, a bright blue bodice and a large beige apron tied by a wide belt of vibrant red fabric. Using a long wooden peel, she gently slides a loaf of bread into the incandescent cavity. Around her, dark wooden furniture, wicker baskets and cooking vessels complete this traditional and sober setting. The warm, orange glow escaping from the hearth intensely illuminates the woman’s profile and the textures of her attire.
