Small Horse Study by Franz Marc

Fitting into the author’s period of training and Impressionist influence, this animal study captures the raw strength of working the land. In this composition of great rustic intensity, the painter Marc Franz expresses the dignity and patience of the beast of burden through a painting entitled “Small Horse Study”.
